I became a Beachbody Coach to help people and as a means to fund my ultimate goal of having a health clinic for those with eating disorders. It'll be a place where financial or health insurance situation won't prevent people from getting the help they need to improve, and in some cases save, their lives! This is my DREAM! This is what keeps me up at night and weighs on my mind!!
My fitness journey started because I was pre-diabetic and obese (by body fat% standards). The heaviest I had ever stepped on a scale at was 185lbs. However, I know that I weighed more than that before starting. How? Because my "fat day" pants didn't fit anymore, and I kept having to buy new work pants right before my shifts started because even the ones that I had just purchased and squeezed into, wouldn't button no matter how much I sucked my gut in. At this time I was also on anti-depressants for my manic depression and PTSD.
I started losing weight slowly over a few years by changing what I ate, eating out less and learning how to cope besides comfort eating were huge factors in this. However, real change didn't happen for me until I started doing Focus T25 and drinking Shakeology daily. When I started Focus T25 I was ~160lbs, still got winded going up the stairs, and was ~34% bodyfat (borderline obese). I'd lost weight...but I hadn't gained muscle.

I firmly believe it's because I had the support to get through the program with the challenge groups, the daily input of positive messages from starting personal development, and the sound nutrition and activity level my body needed! My doctors over the years always said that eating right and exercising would help with my symptoms. I guess they were right, huh?! ^_^
Because of my success, I knew that I had to give back! I had to help others just like I was helped, so I became a full-time Beachbody coach instead of a discount coach. It was the best decision of my life! I have been soo blessed since becoming a coach! I've gone back to college to becoming a Registered Dietitian/Nutritionist, something I never thought I would be able to do because I dropped out years ago due to my PTSD; I'm owning my own business; and I'm secure in who I am as a person for the first time!
So, that's a bit...a lot...about me!
